[Also a fair point. She knows there isn't exactly a standard basic sort of language on Earth, or at least on some Earths, and she isn't sure which sort of planet Natsume specifically is from, or whether this is even an alphabet used there. Planets. They're confusing.]
Let's go with what we know, then. He might even be interested in learning to write in Aurebesh.
[Leia nods, turning away to look for a piece of paper or something to write down her idea on how to spell his name. When she finds something (and something to write with), she writes down "TAKASHE" in Aurebesh, because that's how it sounds and it seems right enough to her.]
[Oh look, Leia. A messenger bird dropped off a small package for you! Inside is a crystal of some sort - not the kind that people here use for amulets, but something similar. The note attached is written in scrawled Aurebesh, the handwriting likely familiar.]
[Ezra answers back with an image on his end, hoping Leia will follow suit, because he kind of wants to see her face for this. Even if she doesn't, though, hearing her "voice" will be good enough.
Either way, though, she'll be treated to a picture of Ezra with a much different look from the last time they talked. His long, shaggy hair has been pulled back into a much neater ponytail now, except for a small tuft bound behind his right ear.]
It's for a job. You're supposed to hold it while I talk to you, so it can record how you feel when I ask if I'm crystal clear.
[She does answer with video, but rather than showing her face, what's transmitted is what Leia's looking at at the moment: namely, the crystal in one hand and his letter in the other.
But his hairdo is something she notices, and it suits him, she thinks, even if she doesn't quite understand why there's a small tuft he must have missed sticking out of the ponytail. And she was about to say as much, before Ezra starts with that bad pun. Leia freezes, replaying that to herself to make sure she heard him correctly, and though he can't see it from this video perspective, there's a feeling of heavy squinting coming through from her side.]
[She shakes her head--clearly noticeable from the view Ezra has over the connection--before placing both the crystal and the note on a tabletop nearby.]
You know having a rocky start isn't something to be proud of, don't you?
[Well giving Ezra a taste of his own medicine didn't work, in this case. Not that she honestly minds that much; the jokes are bad, but she likes Ezra enough to excuse them.]
That's very nice of you, Leia. I've been trying to do the same.
[She makes a hand gesture to Chandy so the ghost soon joins the melting action. A Pokémon using their natural fire should be less tiring than a person forcing themselves to use dunamis for too long, Bianca images, ignoring how tired she currently feels and looks.
A nod for that question, noticing how Leia remembers the name. That's kinda nice.] I just finished doing today's deliveries, so me and Chandy are helping with the ice too. The farm has also been needing extra care... is your home okay, Leia?
[She doesn't shove him with her hands or anything, but she does, in fact, bump her hip against him as an unspoken way of telling him to move out of the way. She can't get around to help decorate the cake with him crowding her in one spot.]
As far as we know.
[Not that she knows when other people's birthdays are here. But that's for a different time--]
[Leia lets Chandelure get to work, her attention now focused on Bianca instead of the remnants of the Elios wall. There's enough people and Pokemon working on it now that she can stand to take a break for a bit to talk with a friend. She frowns at Bianca's mention of something happening to her farm, just a bit upset that all this has seemingly affected everything on the island.]
My home is fine.
[Loud and messy and lively, but that's exactly how it usually is.]
[he shuffles around her, staying close enough to be annoying but at least she can move around now?? this is the life you chose, leia. living life with an overly tall invader of personal space.]
Dunno. [don't mind him, he'll just reach out and pat the thing. it doesn't feel hot, so...] Ah, I'll just put a little on. Worst that'll happen is it melts off, right?
[She chose this life and chose to marry this tall personal space invader, it's true. As annoying as he can be, though, she wouldn't choose any differently. And given that she can actually move around, she can ignore the hovering for now in favor of focusing on the cake.]
Testing a little won't ruin it.
[She thinks?? Either way, that's her agreeing with him.
But actually, she can't quite ignore the hovering as well as she thought. She turns back from the cake, toward him, a slightly quizzical slightly exasperated sort of expression on her face.]
[That is some next level cheesiness from him. She expects cheesiness and Han thinking he's being smooth when he's totally not, but this is pretty up there. Not that she minds. Leia rolls her eyes, looking up at him fondly.]
That would be a good idea. I doubt Takashi would like it if you used your hands to spread the frosting.
[Which she's sure he wouldn't do, but well. They need a knife to spread that frosting, and the drawer with those in it is behind Han.]
