No, see, that's why it's funny. You thought it would be something else, that there was no way I'd give an answer like that. Jokes are about catching people off guard, so what could be more unexpected than that?
[Then again, if Leia's home hadn't been fine, Han would probably have woken up everyone to complain, Bianca guesses. None of the workers seem to mind Chandy helping - it can be a bit hard with Ghost-types some times, but she's doing fine right now, so Bianca gives all her attention to Leia.]
The same than the rest of the city, the ice reached it too. I've gotten rid of already, but my plants are taking their time to be all healthy and pretty again. I guess my mood isn't helping much...
[joke's on her, he likes having her all up in his personal space. most of the time, anyway, and he's certainly in a good mood at the moment.]
Guess not. [so gracious!!] You can watch me work anytime, babe.
[he nudges her with his hip as he works on smoothing the icing over the top of the cake, clearly giving her as much of his attention as he is the work.]
[accompanied with an eyeroll and an amused smile, as per usual when they're both in a good mood. But she turns her attention down to the cake, just to make sure everything is neat and even down there.]
[It's hard for her not to over share some times. As much as she can go "I don't want to be bother!", she still needs the support, to cling to someone, which... she should be working on right now, right? Leia is here and... Bianca wants to be strong in front of her.
Easier said than done. A shrug.]
Elios wasn't kind to me and my-- friend. But I'm getting there, don't worry!
[Leia frowns, easily imagining a number of things that could've happened to Bianca and her friend. She knows full well how things affected her and how much it shook up Han. And really, how much it shook her up, too, hearing how she was acting after he snapped her out of it.]
[She looks up at Leia with surprise, not expecting that question. She's heard some of the stuff that has happened with Elios, him not wanting to lose anyone, and people having feelings exposed... but she didn't know he went that far. Go figure.]
A-ah, no... he-- [She fidgets and looks down again.] ...hemademeconfess.
[While on one hand, it's good Bianca didn't have to deal with the mess she and Han had to deal with, on the other... her experience sounds just as bad.]
That coming out of seemingly nowhere would put a strain on any relationship. Have you spoken with the other person since?
[it has been a long, long week for han. it seems like everyone he knows has gone out of their blessed minds, including his wife. who doesn't think she's his wife anymore, and doesn't think she's from alderaan anymore, and doesn't want han to generally be anywhere near her in the bed anymore...though he supposes that at this point he should be grateful that she's in the bed at all, as she went through a brief phase where she was sleeping on the couch. even knowing that scientist-types are aware of the problem and working on it doesn't make han feel much better. hey, he doesn't trust the government and he's tweaked about not being able to fix the problem himself. give him a break.
it hasn't been too long since they've gone to bed, and han is grudgingly staying on his side of the bed, trying not to squirm too much or be too obvious about the way he's watching leia. it's been a few days, so, maybe he can sneak a little bit closer without annoying her? he feels like his chances aren't great, but he shimmies about a quarter of an inch closer to her anyway.]
[Leia would be lying if she said she believed this whole crystal cure nonsense. Largely because, well, she's still convinced nothing is wrong, and that perhaps everyone here is just from different universes that seem similar on the surface. That's what the case was with Ben, according to him, so it stood to reason that perhaps Han is from another one of those, where she's from Alderaan instead of Luke.
But after having that crystal around--albeit reluctantly--everything becomes a jumble of memories, real and false, all eventually settling into place. Han was, of course, correct, and correctly concerned about her and this dream dust allergy. The mechanics of however that must have happened are something she doesn't get, but that doesn't matter as much, if this cure works now. Instead, it's what she was utterly convinced was true that weighs on her mind more than how it must have happened.
She knows he's watching her, even as she pretends to be asleep, and when she feels the mattress shift as he inches closer, Leia opens an eye and reaches out, grabbing hold of his hand.]
I'm sorry, Han. I can't make any excuses for how I behaved this past week, but I'm sorry.
[his heart leaps in his chest at her declaration, and he tries to keep the hope he's feeling out of his voice. sure, they said the crystals would work, but this seems pretty abrupt and if nothing else he's learned to be cautious with her. still, he curls his fingers around hers without hesitation, even if he doesn't move any closer.]
You--feel better now?
[of all the things he could ask, that's what he settles on. he's going to tear his own hair out this time if she says something like "i should've been easier on you with your memories messed up". absolutely, literally will pull his hair out. he's at that point.]
[There are probably things she's still missing this early on, but she's sorted out enough to recognize what's true and false and how much Han had to put up with from all of this memory nonsense.
He might not move any closer, but Leia takes the initiative to slide a bit closer to him. After everything she's put him through lately, she's sure he needs that closeness just as much as she needs it from him.]
[he seems to be watching her very closely as she scoots closer. it's not that they haven't touched at all since the whole thing started, or even that they haven't been intimate a time or two, but han has found that leia as she was this week did not appreciate him being super lovey-dovey. not that he would ever be caught dead putting it that way, but suffice it to say he's learned the hard way to wait and let her make a move.]
So...you remember Alderaan?
[this is a risk in itself, as if she's still in her wacked out memories she'll no doubt be annoyed with him all over again. but he needs to check before his hopes get up to high and he really jumps the gun.]
