I wouldn't dare take anything from his junk pile. It's clear that he's trying to rebuild a ship out of garbage. [He points to a few things that he wouldn't really consider using. This place mostly used gears, wires and elemental cores. If only he could get his hands on an engine around here to get a closer look at how it works. Let's face it... he'll take it apart to try to put it back together again. Better and faster.

There's a moment where he takes a small peek over at Leia. He wanted to see her reaction when the metal ball bloomed. That little trick was had to mimic. Poe had bought something to help him figure out how to use the right piece.

He smiled at Leia while giving a small shrug.]

I pieced a lot of it together. Most of it's from other pieces that did similar things. But none of them were quite right for what I was looking for. [He points towards a petal that looks as if there's a scorch mark at the center but it blinds in with the paint job.] It's not exactly perfect there's a lot of these but I tried my best with the paint. Trying to put it in spots to distract your eye. Also the turning gears were tricky to figure out.

[BB-8 gives a few beeps while making a sound that seemed close to laughter.]

He's amused by how many times I watched other gadgets before he started helping me.

Well, he misses having the Falcon around.

[Get it, because the Falcon is garbage that somehow flies. Look, she's allowed to rag on it, okay, she's earned that right. And for as much as she does insult it, she is fond of the ship in her own way.

She looks at the spot Poe points out, having not noticed the scorch mark before, and not just because of the paint job. She was distracted by how it opened up and unfolded itself, okay. And even with the scorch mark, that doesn't make it any less impressive or make her like it any less. It was beautiful and thoughtful, and she appreciates it very much.

She laughs softly at Poe's translation of BB-8's input, since it's kind of funny that the droid had to get his say in. Also totally expected of the droids she's kept in her company.]

It sounds like I have to thank Beebee-Ate just as much as you for this gift, going by his version of things.

I bet he does.

[There is a small tiny smirk at the comeback that she made. Poe at least got to see the Falcon take off with Rey as the pilot. It was really strange to think about it while coming back here. How everyone was here but from different pasts. Explaining that one to BB-8 was difficult and rough at first.

The gift was meant to be distracting by the way it opened, the paint job was supposed to help hide any of the imperfections of it. But he's only human plus while he had been piecing those part together, he ended up nicking his fingers really well on the tool. Because of it being emotionland his feelings burst into a subtle spark scorching the metal along with it. Poe, however, wasn't going to test fate and try to redo that spot. But he did leave the project alone for a couple days.]

He was helpful in the end. I wish he was around earlier when I was working on it in the beginning. It's nice to have that extra bit of help. Plus this place doesn't help when you're trying to build something and you accidentally melt pieces off or cause them to change color.

[It's a good thing Poe didn't mention that, about seeing the Falcon take off with Rey. She knows the future, and she sort-of knows Rey, but the Falcon is Han's. It was hard enough seeing Lando fly it with Chewie when they were searching for Han after Cloud City, but hearing that Rey flew it with Chewie after Ben killed Han would be something she wouldn't like at all.]

No, there's a lot about this world that's almost inconvenient when there aren't any droids around. You're lucky to have Beebee-Ate with you this time around.

[Chewie probably makes sure it stays to how Han would have wanted it. Poe probably wouldn't ever bring it up unless she were to ask. But even what he would say to that point in time. Well, he'll use charm.]

I don't mind getting my hands dirty though. Beebee-Ate is a good sidekick. I know, I hope that he'll always be around. It was nice to see that this land can give nice things. If you ever need his help don't be afraid to ask.

I won't.

[She might not ask as often as she would if she had her own droid to help her out here, but there's no reason to hesitate to ask for help, especially from someone like Poe, that she trusts to do what's important.]

Of course, I'd hope you would come along with him if I need his help. I'm sure we could find something for you to do, as well.

It's not that bad though. Getting your hands dirty every so often is a good feeling.

[Poe wouldn't mind coming by to help her out with things along with his droid. That's why the offer would be there.]

I will be around with him. As much as I wouldn't mind him roaming around on his own. He doesn't need to do that. I don't want anything to happen to him. But I wouldn't mind getting put to work. [He gives a small smile.] You should know that by now.

[She understands where Poe's coming from about not wanting anything to happen to BB-8, but at the same time, it's kind of cute. It's like he's a worried parent concerned about his child.]

I do. And if Beebee-ate has no objections, I can absolutely find something for the three of us to do.

[Either around the house, or as a task. Both are good ways to spend time with Poe.]

[Poe has told BB-8 that he would come back for him when in fact he headed for the Finalizer. But he had to lie so that BB-8 could get away. That was something he would hope to never have to do again. His astromech is good to plan for surprises too. BB-8 has rescued him when he needed it before.]

Beebee-Ate won't have any objections. Isn't that right, buddy?

[The droid rolls over to Leia looking up at her.] Breeebooo!

We're always ready to offer help. I'm sure you can find something for all of us to do. I have no doubt in that. Has your family life got any better?

[She's not sure what BB-8 said, beyond some confirmation of what Poe already said, but she gives the droid a grateful smile nonetheless. At Poe's question, though, her attention shifts back to him. Leia purses her lips, not entirely sure how to or if she wants to answer the question with any amount of honesty. She trusts Poe, yes, but family is still an issue difficult to talk about for two big reasons, and one of those reasons is why her family life is decidedly not any better.]

Han and I have been getting along fine, if that's what you mean.

[Her and Luke, too, but it's rarer when she's not getting along with him.]

[BB-8 was only agreeing along with Poe but it's fine that Leia didn't really know. After a bit the droid would roll away to take more look of the house. Poe realizes what Leia is doing with deflecting to the normal relationship. It wasn't really any of his business about the rest of the family business. But, he was curious none the less.]

If that's what you want to talk about. Not going to press on any uncomfortable conversation.

[He gives a small smile at her, he didn't really want to talk about things that would make her upset. That wasn't the point of this visit. But he wanted to know that she was doing fine too even if her family side might be in the dark.]

[Poe knows more than Leia would prefer most people to know, thanks to that family disaster meeting. Which she both is embarrassed by and regrets, because she lost her temper in front of a large group of people, and those people all know her family secret. And she does trust Poe, she does genuinely like him, but he's not yet at the point where she's willing to talk about that sort of harder subject with him just yet.

So, for his willingness to back off on that, she gives Poe a grateful smile. As for BB-8, he can roll off to wherever he wants to explore. Leia doesn't mind him exploring whatever he wants.]

I appreciate it, Poe.

[She hesitates before adding the one thing she will say, even if she doesn't consider and won't admit he's family--]

...Anakin Skywalker has returned, and as usual, I'd recommend caution around him.

[Maybe, eventually, someday she'll be more comfortable to want to talk about it. Poe was mostly curious to hear her opinions about her son. How does she truly think about him? There isn't much that can be done when going back didn't mean a difference. Yet, Poe still thinks that it's a wasted opportunity being given to him. That he could be with his parents in a space together.]

[He lifts an eyebrow.]

I'm not hearing Darth Vader, so, I'll judge what caution to use. If he plans on causing any trouble I'll step in. Even if it's dangerous... but, {He glances down at the ground before back over to Leia.] I have been trying to use the dunamis more. At least I can try to throw the element of surprise into it.

Simply because he's not wearing a mask doesn't mean he's not Darth Vader.

[Because as far as Leia cares, Anakin is, was, and always will be Darth Vader. There's no proving to her that he isn't a danger or that she should trust him.]

I can't tell you what to do, but if you're inclined to do something like that, think of your own safety while you assess the situation. I don't want you getting hurt.

[Or worse. But she doesn't want to mention that, because she doesn't want to think about it. And she knows Poe is fully aware of what dark side Force users are capable of.]

No there's only one man that walks around wearing a mask.

[Leia might catch a glimpse of a different black mask along with it being with a rather tall figure that she'll notice as Kylo Ren. Poe seems to be rather grumpy by that fact. Even if it was particle for him to wear it the last time he ran into the other.]

I know the risks that can happen, Leia. I've gotten hurt enough times here already by other people. If Anakin does anything, he'll be more considered as Darth Vader. As long as there is some light to him, there has to be some hope.

[He looks at her.] But I will try to be careful.

[There's the barest hint of a frown at that comment because Poe doesn't have to say who he's talking about for Leia to know what he's hinting at. She'd seen Ben in his helmet, and it wasn't a memory she liked to remember. It was, after all, when Ben had shared what he did to Han.]

That's where we'll have to differ, then. I've made my opinion on him known, and nothing I've seen has proven otherwise to me.

[Because she doesn't think there is light to him. Even here, even now. None of that light made itself known to Leia, so she has no reason to trust its existence.]

[He hadn't known how Kylo Ren shared that information about Han. Poe just knew that he's encountered the other plenty of times in that matter. Last year, he had helped Kylo Ren pick out a hair clip when he wasn't wearing the helmet. He hadn't even known it was him.]

You can have your opinion. I'll have my own opinions too. As for Anakin, he hasn't done anything wrong here nor has he wanted to inflict fear on to others. Or even harm them for information. Yet, Kylo Ren has plenty of people to help him towards the light if needed. We can at least keep Anakin from turning fully while he's here. Isn't that at least enough?

He has.

[She may not want to spread it around too much after getting the word of other Jedi to help with this, but she can't keep silent with Poe assuming Anakin hasn't done anything wrong. He's a danger, he'd never be anything but a danger, and trusting him to behave is a mistake.]

He's already attacked an old friend of mine who arrived recently, as well as Obi-Wan Kenobi.

[Or so she's heard from Qui-Gon, at least.]

Don't make the mistake of thinking he's done nothing wrong. If Kylo Ren is dangerous enough to--rightfully--warrant continued supervision, then Anakin Skywalker should be extended the same treatment.

[Because she won't pretend that, while Ben had been kind of behaving lately, there wasn't reason for him to be under supervision and that the general public's attitude toward him wasn't unwarranted.]

I'm sorry, I hadn't heard anything since the other incident. Every time I have encountered him, he seems fine.

[It all could be an act. Poe hadn't known that he had attacked Obi-Wan. So maybe, he was already on the path to the darkside. Already leading himself to the events of Mustafar. The room might feel chilly for a brief moment as Poe remembers that grief and pain. Not to mention the lost of someone that was close to you, as a brother.]

He hasn't killed anyone yet. Hurting them is not acceptable either. But maybe there might be a story to go along with that. [Poe was starting to want to know the why behind their motives. Because this place can do things not to mention everyone from different points, the stress of it all can put a lot of pressure on someone's mind.]

If he becomes too much of a threat then we should let the Enforcers know about him. So that they can watch him if need be. We can try watching him together, but... [He looks at her.] I wouldn't want you to be uncomfortable and I could watch him.[Like should have done with Kylo Ren. But he was going to do whatever he wanted. Poe will keep his distance but be that nice friendly reminder that he's still around to bother him.]

A story.

[It's clear enough from her clipped tone that she doesn't care the reason behind Anakin's actions. Largely because there was no reason. Ezra was almost a decade younger than Anakin and even less trained than Anakin would have been at that age. Even if Ezra had provoked Anakin, there's little reason Leia can tell that would make Anakin's behavior acceptable.]

If you think a good story can justify attacking and nearly killing a teenager, then I'm not sure what to tell you.

[Because she'd hope Poe doesn't actually believe that.]

I've already spoken with the Jedi about keeping an eye on him. I don't want to be anywhere near him, and I don't want you near him, either. Surely you know full well there's little hope in fighting fairly against someone with those abilities if you don't possess them yourself.

[All stories hold some kind of meaning to them. Even if they don't make sense right away in the beginning. Anakin could have a stupid reason for attacking someone. Or the other way around. Poe knew that bringing up this man was a very touchy subject.]

Depends if that teenager had anything to do with it. There's a story to every side. Some of us don't get to see it while others do. I understand your concern. I didn't know he had already done these things.

[Poe would rather that they would think before they acted sometimes. There really was no need to continue a fighting here. It would seem that people will always be stubborn in their ways.]

I can use the dunamis. It might not be fair, but I can use it. The one reason I picked up on training more on the dunamis was to better protect myself. Meditation is really hard when you can't sit for a long time.

I'd advise you consider what you're about to say before you speak, Poe. There is no story that can justify an adult so-called Jedi Knight choking a teenager with the Force.

[And that's all she'll say on that matter. Because she knows Anakin wasn't injured by Ezra, even if Ezra had drawn his lightsaber on Anakin. She knows first-hand how being choked by the Force feels, and that, combined with how it felt when Ezra had reached out to her over the amulet immediately after the incident, cements her opinion even more than it already was by virtue of Anakin being who he was.]

Dunamis is one thing, the Force is another. Leave the situation to the Jedi.

[He points at himself while parting his mouth open a little. Poe does take a moment to think about what he is going to say next. Because it wasn't just a Force choke that can happen. There were far worse things that could happen.]

Yet, usually when you say something to them in the right way, it happens. You can simply state that they need to change their techniques and get yourself into trouble.

[The area grows dark around him and cold, extremely cold, as if a the biting chill of winter had showed up in the living room around them. Poe knew that the Force could be dangerous but it depended on how anyone used it. It could be used for good.]

Have you ever considered that the dunamis could be used against the Force? Of course, there are differences. [He pauses for a moment.] Very big differences.

It's possible. But to match the level of control he has over the Force, you'd need to serious intensive training for years.

[And that's her being generous. Perhaps someone with a more natural aptitude for something like Dunamis might take less time to get that level of control over the emotion magic, but even then, she'd seen Darth Vader using the Force first-hand. She knew how dangerous he is, and how he'd likely still be just as dangerous here, now, as Anakin rather than as the black-armored nightmare she had met.]

But with the dunamis the emotion effect you create could distract them. It may not be the same thing. But if you can figure out which emotion does what and then be able to control it. It might be possible to do something. Even if they may end up with the upper hand of being quicker because of their more in depth training.

[He could try practicing against someone that uses the Force with the dunamis things he knows. But he knew that he's not ready for that. It would be all about time and practice. All he had now was time to do whatever.]
